"Clinic of doctor Paramonov" in Saratov is the only Russian medical institution of a wide profile, accredited by the UN. It has been accredited by all 28 organizations that act under its auspices, including UNESCO and the world health organization (who).
Here, patients are provided with outpatient and in-patient care for more than 60 types of medical services - from diagnosis and preventive treatment to complex surgical interventions. The clinic is equipped according to modern international standards, and its staff consists of candidates and doctors of medical Sciences, doctors of the highest categories, who regularly improve their skills. The organization is known not only in the Saratov region, but also throughout Russia and abroad. Every year it is visited by about 300 thousand people. The founder and General Director Viktor Paramonov told our correspondent what was the prerequisite for the establishment, on what principle the staff is selected, what are the main principles of the clinic and what is its difference from other medical institutions.
- Viktor Alexandrovich, tell us about yourself. You are a well-known surgeon-oncologist, you have more than one thousand saved lives...
- The average age of a surgeon is 45 years, and I have been working in surgery for 40 years. Every year I have about a thousand operations - when less, when more. In total, I performed about 30 thousand operations - this is a very large number of lives that I saved as an oncologist. Many of those who have long operated, I still remember. And now, when I have my own private clinic, the children of those people whom I helped when I worked in public institutions are already turning to me. Recently, a patient came to us, I operated on her 30 years ago, she had cancer of the tongue with metastases. I asked her why she came to see me without an outpatient card. On it she explained that just came to tell me thanks for the presented 30 years of life. For me it is very pleasant.
Thirty-two years ago, the topic of treating patients with head and neck tumors was unresolved for our area. Had not been able to do heavy operations, it was not the techniques, the whole system was not. I think that one of the important milestones of my life is the creation of a system of treatment of head and neck tumors in the region, which allowed tens of thousands of people to get out of the world thanks to me and my students, who are now working in this field. Today I am a surgeon of a wide profile, I operate the person, as they say, from head to toe. Operations on the brain, on other organs - the larynx, thyroid, mammary gland and many others... Probably, very few people operate so widely.
I have a great school. Previously, a lot had to learn. I'm going abroad now to see if we're falling behind. Not something to learn or someone to teach, and to find out that we do everything as it is necessary. This knowledge gives confidence in the forces. It is important to realize that you are not behind, and sometimes even ahead of the planet! I have in character leadership. The word "Victor" is Greek, it means "winner".
- And you always want to win?
- I want to win the disease, cancer, a difficult situation. And such situations I have in life was very many. Several times I was "ordered", shot at me. Five times I drowned. There are about 19 cases where I was literally on the verge of life and death. But there were guardian angels who helped. I can say that I have a third life in surgery after reincarnation. When I have difficult patients, I involve my employees, who also "have lived more than one life", specialists from God. It would seem that the patient is hopeless, and they offer a treatment regimen and, as always, the course is positive.
- How did the idea to create a "Clinic of Dr. Paramonov"?
- Life often hit me on the head - because I have my own, different from others, opinion. In my field of practice, this means the following. When I worked in public health institutions, I often had disputes with the chief physicians on how to operate on the patient and what to appoint him after the operation. I had a very big trouble with the management because of my intractable character. I've always had my own understanding. I tried to offer only what was good for the patient. The responsibility in this case lies not with the chief physician, but with the surgeon. As a result, I do the operation in my own way, the person recovers. What happens next? Chief physician perceives the situation as an insult, I begin to consider an upstart. He forgets that the most important thing is for the patient to survive.
Three main doctor I've been fired under various pretexts - with higher, lower, nowhere. They are used to: whatever they say - their instructions are unconditionally fulfilled, without analyzing the consequences. But so do people who do not have their authority and can not have it, because they are nobody. They can only ruin medicine, but they can't create anything.
- In 40 years, I've only changed my job four or five times. But still I tried to find a common language with the leadership - I'm not a conflict person. My principle concerns only those moments when it comes to the life and death of other people. I can't neglect interests, life and health of the person.
