A book about a difficult profession of the surgeon

Every nice to talk about their successes, victories. And hard to talk about mistakes. Especially when the cost of failure - human life. Our profession is that we often deal with death, and to enter into combat with it, pulling people out of her clutches. But it happens that in this fight, despite all the efforts of the doctors, the old woman with a scythe takes over. If this happens hundreds of times in the head scroll situation, ask yourself a sleepless night, I did everything I could for this person? Of course, I try to provide everything, but sometimes life gives us a bitter lesson ...

I am often asked whether the cancer has just as suddenly disappear, as it had appeared? Tell you about an amazing event of my practice.

Once an appointment with me came a couple. They are, of course, linked the most delicate relations. There are a couple, as if radiating love. Both were about thirty-five years old: energetic, cheerful, burly man and his wife pretty slim. She kept pressing her to her husband, though he sought protection. His wife - her name was Alevtina - complained of being unimportant. Recently, her tormented weakness, dizziness, nausea.

Once I was sitting at his desk as the room broke into my deputy. He was holding a sheet, his face shone.

- Viktor! - He cried at the door - you an invitation! From Hannover! Of the European Academy of Natural Sciences! Invited to speak at the conference on artificial larynx!

At first I thought that I play. From the Academy of Natural Sciences, I have no connections were not. Where in Europe can learn about the surgeon from Saratov? I have carefully read the invitation. Like, all right. The document is printed signature of the Academy and its president.

One day in our clinic came to the well-known businessman in his fifties. He had everything - money, property, position in society, a young beautiful wife. There was not enough for him to complete happiness only one thing - children. Desperate to conceive naturally heir, Konstantin Liashenko - so let's call our hero - decided to seek help from doctors.

In my hands a slim book - 68 pages. But the impression from reading this, if I keep a solid fact, together in a complex story of human destiny in its relationships with the diverse lives and many people.

Called the book "Life in the operating room" is very conditional, because the events occurring in it are not limited to the walls of medical institutions, which operate on the patient, as evidenced by the titles of some chapters: "unsung song," First Impressions "," My Revolution " etc.

The first time I got married when I was twenty-five. At the time I graduated from college and I had a bride - a lovely sweet girl named Galina. We were going to get married as soon as I get a diploma.

Finally, the day came when all our efforts were crowned with perennial student main event - the issuance of diplomas. That is something we all waited with impatience. And now, he happiest moment: I and my classmates are keeping in the hands of the cherished blue crust, giving us the right to be certified as a surgeon.

After the presentation of diplomas was waiting for us prom. As soon as I walked into a hall decorated with flowers and laden with tables, my attention was immediately attracted a slender girl with long black hair. We met views. In her eyes, read the mind, dedication, irony and confidence.

I have often wondered, where did mankind on our planet, where it goes after death the soul. In the existence of the soul I am a surgeon, every day dealing with the physical shell of man, believe unconditionally.

It is known: when a person dies, fifteen minutes after the last breath of his body loses weight 4.7 grams. The studies were conducted many times in different countries, and always come out the same constant - just 4.7 grams. Apparently, this is the weight of the soul. After her death she retained in the body for fifteen minutes, doctors know that during this time, a survivor of clinical death, can still be brought back to life.

Will the live set up business as it develops will usually become clear in about three years after its opening. Our caring attitude to patients and profestoo often the staff did their job - this time all of wishing to be treated in our clinic, "DOCTOR" was already a month ahead.

I have worked enthusiastically, tirelessly, and kept thinking about how to improve the work of the clinic. Of course, the permit system military hospital, where we rented a room, made it difficult for us to access patients. Another reason, which is hampering the development of the clinic, were complex lease relationships with the regime now. Several times we were warned that it might have to leave the premises. Work under constant threat of imminent eviction was morally very difficult. So it seems that come tomorrow for an operation, and you say: "All free up the territory. And where I - with its operational, with staff, with patients who desire the assistance?

I grew up, like all of my generation, in a socialist society. Like everyone else, went to the Komsomol meetings, voting, standing in endless queues for food and loudly shouted "Hurrah!" together with all the demonstrations.
Of course, were in the system and its advantages: for example, free higher education, which could get everyone, regardless of the thickness of the purse. And in this I am very grateful to the socialist system. Currently training at the Medical University is a lot of money, and children from poor families are not so many chances to become surgeons.

I am always amazed at the injustice: if the overseas doctors used a well-deserved honor and respect is well earned, lived in fine homes, our physicians at this time dragged out a meager existence. Money is only enough for bare necessities: for food, utilities, affordable clothing.

This principle of the state's attitude to medicine was formed immediately after the revolution. They say that all this went with a light hand Lunacharskogo commissar of education, who believed that doctors need not pay well: that a good surgeon and people feed them, but bad we do not need. That accounted for our followers of Hippocrates confront a choice: either put up with such a life, or leave medicine, leaving a job he loves.
